Abstract
This article provides a comparative examination of sacrificial practices in Igbo culture and Christianity, focusing on the significance of the Crossroads Sacrifice in Igbo tradition and its parallel with the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ in Christianity. The article explores the philosophical and scientific aspects of these practices, shedding light on their underlying principles and implications. The Igbo Crossroads Sacrifice is analyzed, highlighting its role in addressing misfortune and maintaining harmony, while the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is examined as a means of redemption and reconciliation in Christianity. The philosophical implications of these practices are discussed, emphasizing the human quest for meaning, transcendence, and connection with the divine.
