<p>Universal Basic Income (UBI) has emerged as a significant policy proposal in response to rising inequality, labour market precarity, and the future of welfare. Despite growing scholarly and policy interest, the structure and evolution of UBI research remain fragmented. This study applies a bibliometric approach to systematically analyse global UBI research indexed in Scopus between 1990 and 2023. Using the Bibliometrix R package and Biblioshiny interface, the analysis maps key authors, sources, institutions, countries, and thematic developments. Bibliometric methods are essential in synthesising large bodies of literature to identify intellectual trends, research gaps, and collaboration patterns. Findings reveal a sharp increase in research post-2016, reflecting global pilot programs and pandemic-driven discourse. The UK, US, and Finland lead contributions, while themes shift from normative debates to empirical evaluations. This review offers a comprehensive foundation for scholars and policymakers seeking to navigate the rapidly expanding and interdisciplinary landscape of UBI research.</p>
