Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, played an instrumental role in shaping the educational landscape of India, particularly for Dalits (historically referred to as "untouchables"). His relentless efforts to promote education for Dalits were central to his broader vision of social equality and justice. Ambedkar believed that education was the key to breaking the shackles of caste-based discrimination and was crucial for empowering marginalized communities.
