Abstract

A model of teaching is a plan or pattern that can be used to design classroom activities by the set instructional objectives. They guide the teacher to decide about the teaching methods, instructional aids, learning resources, evaluation techniques, as well as the kind of classroom environment, both physical and social, to realize the instructional objectives. They, thus, provide a comprehensive blueprint to design instructional materials, plan lessons, supporting aids, roles of teacher as well as students in the teaching-learning process, and so forth.
The main purpose of Information Processing Models in general and Concept Attainment Model (CAM) in particular is to enhance the information processing capability of the students. Information processing refers to the way in which one receives information, organizes information, correlates new information with the previous information and on its basis infers conclusions.  
The present paper explains the Concept Attainment Model and a model lesson plan based on the model.
